    Maintenance Technician

    The Opportunity:

    National Development is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician for Cole Hersee and other downtown assets, located in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate must be skilled in all areas of general maintenance and must be able to perform the physical maintenance operations of the property.

     

    As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities include:

    • Regularly care for buildings and grounds as needed. Conduct general site, building and mechanical room inspections to insure cleanliness and safety compliance of all systems and ensure all is maintained in a professional matter.
    • Assist with the management of preventative maintenance programs. This shall include managing check-off lists, machinery history, safety inspection and test records.
    • Reliably handle emergency situations. Excellent communication and organizational skills are mandatory.
    • Keep the Management Team advised of all matters incidental to the operational status of all systems.

    Staff Accountant

    The Opportunity:

    National Development is looking for a full-time Staff Accountant to join our team in Newton, MA. As a member of our Accounting team, you will instill a sense of National Development pride in everyone that you interact with. The Staff Accountant will support the Fund Accounting and Corporate Accounting teams and will report to the Fund Accounting Manager and Senior Corporate Accountant. This position will also assist the Vice President of Fund Accounting, Accounting and Fund Management Associate, and Investor Relations Director with special requests and projects.

    As a Staff Accountant, your primary responsibilities include:

    • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
    • Record journal entries related to cash activity, transactions and accruals in the accounting system (Yardi).
    • Assist in preparation of monthly corporate supporting workpapers; including A/R, A/P, depreciation, etc.
    • Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual fund workpapers.
    • Assist in preparation of fund and corporate quarterly and annual financial statements and respond to audit requests.
    • Record activity related to investor capital calls and distributions.
    • Assist in monthly maintenance and quarterly compliance relating to subscription lines of credit.
