The Gavin Foundation

The Project

National Development worked with The Gavin Foundation to develop a new treatment facility, Eileen’s House donating time and expertise to help Gavin find a site, and design and construct the building. The site will be transformed from a former convent owned by The Archdiocese of Boston into a new 30-bed facility that brings new and much needed services to the area.

The Mission

Eileen’s House will provide a full continuum of individual and family support services including family reunification and coaching, case management, recovery support and placement in job training programs for women recovering from substance abuse disorder.

National Development’s Work

National Development provided site selection services and assembled a full team of consultants including architecture and interior design, engineering, and landscape architecture — all of whom have provided over 500 donated service hours to bring Eileen’s House to fruition. The team collaborated with City, State and Federal agencies to facilitate this project. Eileen’s House is scheduled to open in July 2023.
